Humidity is the thing to watch in the Willamette Valley. Wood expands and contracts with the moisture in the air, and a home that swings from a soggy January to a dry August will see hardwood cup and then gap. Keeping indoor relative humidity in the range the EPA recommends – 30 to 50 percent, below 60 – does more for your floors long term than any single cleaning.

Our process: inspect the finish and identify whether the floor is solid or engineered, dry-remove grit first (loose grit is what actually scratches finish underfoot), then clean with pH-neutral wood-safe product and minimal moisture, and confirm complete drying before we leave.
